Trench is an MIT event tracking service built on ClickHouse and Kafka with SQL and REST querying and Segment-compatible events. Aptabase is privacy-first analytics for mobile and desktop apps with simple SDKs, and does not target web analytics.
PostHog is MIT with an ee directory under a separate license, and OpenReplay is AGPL-3.0 with an ee directory. Countly's self-hosted edition is under a restricted Countly Lite license, so it is not standard open source.
PostHog and Trench are MIT. OpenReplay and Aptabase are AGPL-3.0. Countly uses the Countly Lite license.

June is a proprietary SaaS focused on B2B product analytics, so your event data lives on its servers and pricing follows tracked users. Open-source tools can be self-hosted, keep data on your infrastructure, and avoid per-user pricing, but they have less B2B-specific reporting out of the box.
