Important: mostly complements, not replacements
Agno is the only one that is itself an agent framework. Mem0 is a memory layer, CopilotKit builds the frontend for agents, and Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, Helicone, and Laminar are observability tools. Several of them integrate with LangChain and LangGraph.
Closest to LangChain
Agno is a framework and platform for building, deploying, and monitoring agents, model-agnostic, with memory, knowledge, and tool integrations. Mem0 adds persistent memory across sessions with Python and Node.js SDKs.
Observability replacing LangSmith
Langfuse covers tracing, evaluations, prompt management, and analytics. Arize Phoenix is built on OpenTelemetry, Helicone adds logging and routing, and Laminar offers tracing, online evals, and datasets.
Important: licenses to check
Arize Phoenix uses the Elastic License 2.0, which prevents offering it as a managed service. Langfuse has enterprise features in separate directories.
License details
Mem0, Agno, Helicone, and Laminar are Apache-2.0. CopilotKit is MIT. Langfuse is MIT with enterprise directories. Arize Phoenix is Elastic License 2.0.
