How we chose these Pipedrive alternatives

We looked for open-source tools that overlap with Pipedrive's core: tracking deals through a pipeline, managing contacts and companies, and automating follow-ups. We verified each project's license, recent activity, stars, and self-hosting in its repository. Pipedrive is a focused sales CRM, so we separate ready-made CRMs from broader suites and developer toolkits, and flag restricted licenses. We left out Warpdrive because we could not find a public repository for it. See our methodology for the full criteria.

Closest to Pipedrive

Twenty, Krayin, EspoCRM, and Frappe CRM are the closest as ready-made CRMs with pipelines for deals and contact management. Twenty is the most modern, with a customizable data model, no-code workflows, and an extension framework, while Krayin adds marketing automation on Laravel.

AI-first and developer options

CRM, Relaticle, and Macro add AI: CRM reads team inboxes to create and enrich records, Relaticle offers a built-in AI chat and an MCP server with 37 tools, and Macro creates and enriches records from team email within a wider workspace. Atomic CRM is a developer toolkit for building a custom CRM on React, Supabase, and Postgres.

Important: licenses and paid editions

Twenty is mostly AGPL-3.0 with some files under a commercial license, and its managed cloud costs $9 per user per month. Erxes is AGPL-3.0 outside its enterprise directory. Macro, Relaticle, Frappe CRM, and EspoCRM are AGPL-3.0, and CRM, Krayin, and Atomic CRM are MIT.

Maintenance status

All nine projects had commits within days or weeks of this update. Relaticle is young, so check its maturity before relying on it.

Why look for a Pipedrive alternative?

Pipedrive is a proprietary hosted CRM priced per user, with automation, reporting, and add-ons gated by plan and customer data stored on its servers. Open-source CRMs let you self-host, avoid per-seat pricing, customize data models, and connect AI agents through APIs and MCP, at the cost of running the system and fewer built-in integrations.
